Free Pregnancy Tests
Are you concerned you may be pregnant? Even with the use of contraception, it is possible to become pregnant. Many times the anxiety of worrying about a possible pregnancy can make you feel nauseous, but the most common sign of pregnancy is a missed period. Changes in your menstrual cycle can be caused by other factors, so it’s important to find out if you are pregnant.
Early Signs you may be Pregnant
Early signs of pregnancy can look a lot like the symptoms of an upcoming menstrual cycle, which is why the most common sign is a missed period. Just as every woman is different and unique, each pregnancy is different and unique. The following symptoms may be experienced at different times and by different women. Possible symptoms include:
Aversions to certain foods
If you are experiencing any of the above symptoms, in addition to or in place of a missed period, please contact the Hope Pregnancy Center to schedule an appointment for your free pregnancy test.
When Should I take a Pregnancy Test?
The best time to take a pregnancy test is one week after your missed period. Pregnancy tests determine whether you are pregnant by detecting the presence of hCG, the hormone produced by a fertilized egg attaching to your uterus. During your appointment, you will be asked to give a urine sample, and then one of our staff members will administer the test.
If a test is taken too early, you may get negative results even though you are pregnant, which is why it's important to wait about one week after your missed period. When you come in for your appointment, our staff will make sure this is the right time for you to take your pregnancy test. If it is, you will have your result during your appointment.
